Outline

In this session, the speaker explores the concept and importance of ethics, using industry-specific examples to illustrate common ethical dilemmas and conflicts of interest. The session also provides practical guidance on identifying, assessing, and appropriately handling such situations.

Presenter

Mr. Anoop Gidwani CA, Director, ACFE Hong Kong Chapter

Anoop Gidwani is a retired ICAC Chief Investigator with a demonstrated history of 37 years working in the law enforcement industry.

As a professional CA he specialises in the role of a Forensic Accountant and has often given evidence as an expert in the High Court / Court of First Instance, in complex commercial crime cases. He was awarded by the Chief Executive of HKSAR, the ICAC medal for meritorious service (IMS) in 2021.

Since retirement form ICAC, he is a Chief Advisor to Baker Tilly and in addition to providing forensic accounting assistance, assists legal teams in pursuing civil recoveries in courts in Hong Kong and overseas. Anoop is also involved in an anti-corruption role with the International Cricket Council, Malaysia Cricket and Cricket Hong Kong, China to ensure high integrity levels in the sport.
