ASIS - Online Seminar: Coming Hong Kong COVID-19 Policies (3 Mar 2022)

ASIS Hong Kong Chapter is organizing an online seminar about COVID-19 Hong Kong policies.  ACFE Hong Kong Chapter members can register free of charge.

Topic:

The seminar will share outlook of the COVID-19 policies in Hong Kong in the coming months, discuss the evolving risk landscape on the ground and provide suggestions on risk mitigation for businesses.

· 14:00 – 14:05: Opening

· 14:05 – 14:25: The COVID-19 situation in Hong Kong and how the control measures will look like in the future (Caro)

· 14:25 – 14:45: Business impacts and how to identify and mitigate risks (Neal)

Speaker:

Carolyn Law is an Analyst in Control Risks’ Shanghai office. Carolyn is responsible for delivering and developing Control Risks’ analytical products and consulting in the areas of political, integrity, security and operational risks across Northeast Asia.

Carolyn was previously a Compliance Analyst for Credit Suisse, where she handled enquiries from Singapore and Hong Kong financial regulators. She is a native of Hong Kong and has experience living in Taiwan and Singapore.

Carolyn speaks Cantonese, Mandarin, English and Japanese.

Neal Beatty is a Principal in Control Risks’ Hong Kong office. In this role, he is responsible for client relationships in Hong Kong, developing new business with multinational clients, and advising on areas of business risk that impact their operations in Hong Kong, Greater China and the Asia Pacific region.

Neal also consults with clients on issues relating to strategic risk management and crisis preparedness, including restructuring and reputational issues. He has assisted clients dealing with sensitive internal compliance and business continuity issue and regularly conducts crisis management workshops with senior management groups. A fluent Mandarin Chinese speaker, Neal regularly gives presentations to both MNC and Chinese companies on a range of business risk-related issues.

Neal holds a Master’s degree in Chinese Studies from the University of Leeds and a BSc in chemistry from Warwick University, both in the UK.
